Consistent performance, useful AI

This is my third year using Filevine, specifically for their Legal Calendaring and Task Management. They've been consistently reliable. I upgraded to include Filevine AI this year, and the AI Fields are already saving us a ton of data entry time compared to my previous setup. The system feels faster than it did two years ago, which is nice. Their updates usually add useful features without breaking anything, which I appreciate. Still the best option for our firm.

Comprehensive for mass torts

Our firm implemented Filevine for Mass Tort Software about three months ago. The initial setup involved a detailed data migration from our old system, which their team managed efficiently, though it took about three weeks to fully complete. We've found the Lead Tracking and Legal Analytics particularly useful for these complex cases. The ability to customize reports has been a significant advantage for our partners. While the integration with our existing email system had a few minor hiccups initially, their customer support was responsive and helped resolve them within a day. The platform handles large volumes of data well, and the case collaboration tools have improved our team's efficiency quite a bit. It's a robust solution for firms handling mass torts.

Good features, some setup issues

I used Filevine for our firm's Document Management. The OCR Search feature is really strong and saves a lot of time. However, getting all our old documents migrated took longer than expected, even with their team's help. The client portal is a nice touch, but some clients found it a bit tricky to navigate at first. Overall, it's a solid platform with lots of potential, just be ready for a bit of a learning curve during implementation.

Easy to use, great for cases

Just started using Filevine for Personal Injury Software, and it's been pretty smooth. I was worried about switching platforms, but it wasn't bad at all. The automated workflows are a lifesaver, especially for keeping track of deadlines. It just feels good to have everything organized in one place. Really makes managing cases less of a headache, honestly.

Transformed our workflow!

Switched to Filevine for our Immigration Case Management and it's been incredible! The custom reporting is exactly what we needed, and the Deadline Assistant makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. It's so much easier to manage everything now. Seriously, if you're in immigration law, you need this! Our team is so much more efficient. Absolutely fantastic!

how's the integration with outlook? i live in my email and need it to be seamless with my case management.

M Megan M. 2 months ago
It's pretty solid, emails can get linked to cases easily. I haven't had major issues with it myself.

Outlook integration is decent. Not groundbreaking, but it does the job for linking emails to cases. Definitely not clunky like some other platforms I've used.

can you actually get a discount with filevine? like, is it worth trying to negotiate or do they just have set prices?

D David B. 2 months ago
You definitely can get discounts! Especially if you commit to annual billing. Talk to the sales rep, they have some flexibility. I got a percentage off for signing up for a year.

Yeah, I heard about people getting implementation fees waived too. It's not like a fixed price thing you just click and buy, it's more like a proper enterprise sale almost.

is filevine good for personal injury firms? i'm seeing a lot of features, but is it actually built for that workflow or just general legal stuff?

W Wendy K. 1 month ago
Yeah, it's strong for PI. Much better than trying to hack something together with generic tools. The workflow automation helps a ton with all the steps in PI cases.

D Dan B. 1 month ago
Oh yeah, totally. They have specific modules for PI, like demands.ai and medical record stuff. It's not just a generic platform, it's pretty tailored.

thinking about getting filevine for my firm. do they ever do like, black friday sales or end-of-year deals? trying to time it right.

A Andre 1 month ago
They definitely have year-end stuff, I think I got a better deal signing up around Q4 last year. Also look out for ABA TECHSHOW time, I heard they sometimes have promos then too.

Not really 'sales' in the typical sense, more like you talk to a rep and they might offer a discount for annual billing or waive the setup fee. No coupon codes though, fyi.

hey so like, i'm looking at filevine but also clio. anyone got experience with both? what's the real difference, especially for a small firm?

B Beth Torres 2 months ago
Clio is definitely more plug-and-play for solo or small firms, good starting point. Filevine is a beast for customization and if you have complex workflows, but it takes more setup.
2
J James 1 month ago
Yeah, I've used both. Filevine felt way more powerful for like, really specific case types, but Clio was easier to just get going with the basics. Depends on your needs, really.
